Washtech XP Passthrough Dishwasher with 500mm Rack

The Washtech XP Passthrough Dishwasher is the industry standard for high-volume commercial kitchens needing to sanitise up to 1,080 dishes per hour. Engineered specifically for demanding Australian food service environments, this heavy-duty pass-through commercial dishwasher combines rapid 1, 2, and 3-minute washing cycles with an eco-conscious 2.2-litre water consumption rate per cycle. Designed to streamline your washing workflow, the Washtech XP eliminates back-breaking lifting while accelerating turnaround times for plates, cups, and cutlery. Whether you are running a bustling Sydney CBD cafe or a high-capacity regional function centre, investing in this robust passthrough unit guarantees sparkling results, strict food safety compliance, and maximum operational uptime.

Heavy-Duty Efficiency for Fast-Paced Kitchen Operations

The primary advantage of the Washtech XP is its ability to convert a chaotic dishwashing zone into a smooth, linear pass-through station. Positioned between stainless steel inlet and outlet benches, it allows kitchen staff to slide 500mm racks directly from sorting to washing without lifting, reducing physical strain, and preventing accidental breakages.

Powered by a robust 1.0HP wash pump, the machine delivers high-pressure wash actions that easily strip away baked-on grease and food residues. Despite its immense cleaning power, the unit operates efficiently with an atmospheric vacuum breaker backflow prevention system and intelligent hybrid controls, ensuring your utility bills remain low while maintaining exceptional hygiene standards.

High-Volume Hospitality and Industry Use Cases

  • Caterers and Function Centres: Quickly cycle through hundreds of champagne flutes, dessert plates, and bulky platters between courses without bottlenecking your kitchen workflow.

Cleaning and Maintenance Section

To prolong the operational life of your Washtech XP and prevent costly breakdown downtime, enforce the following daily cleaning protocols:

  1. Empty Scrap Trays: Lift out the heavy-duty stainless steel scrap trays at the end of every service shift and knock out large food debris.
  2. Rinse Filters: Remove the stainless-steel wash and drain filters, washing them under warm running water to remove build-up.
  3. Wipe Down Arms: Regularly check the upper and lower wash arms; clear any blocked water jets using a paperclip or small brush.
  4. Auto-Drain Run: Use the hands-free auto-drain function to fully purge the wash tank nightly, ensuring fresh, clean water for the next day’s operation.

Warranty and Compliance

The Washtech XP is distributed across Australia by Moffat PTY Limited and is backed by a comprehensive 5-2-1 Warranty Program:

  • 5 Years parts warranty on the structural tank framework.
  • 2 Years parts warranty on the wash pump motor.
  • 1 Year full parts and labour warranty covering the complete unit.

The equipment is fully Water Mark certified and includes an integrated atmospheric vacuum breaker to guarantee total backflow prevention compliance with Australian commercial plumbing standards.

Why the Washtech XP is Ideal for Commercial Kitchens

Commercial kitchens cannot afford a breakdown in the wash station. The Washtech XP is widely regarded as a premium investment because it is manufactured in New Zealand using locally accessible, high-grade components. Its hybrid control interface eliminates fragile digital touchscreens that break down under wet kitchen conditions, using robust, mechanical selectors instead.

The layout configuration is highly flexible. It can be installed as a straight inline pass-through machine or nestled into a corner setup. For corner installations, simply face the machine left to easily reach the control dial while maintaining a 300mm front clearance for quick servicing access.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Can the Washtech XP run on a regular 15A single-phase power plug?
A: Yes. The unit can be configured out of the box to run on a standard single-phase 230-240V, 15 Amp power supply with a maximum consumption of 3.25 kW. It can also be uprated to 25 Amp single-phase or 15 Amp three-phase for faster heat recovery.

Q: What is the optimal water pressure needed for this commercial dishwasher?
A: To achieve the specified 2.2-litre water consumption rate per cycle, incoming water pressure must be maintained between 200 kPa and 350 kPa.

Q: Does the unit require a separate external drain pump?
A: No. The Washtech XP comes fitted with an advanced, hands-free auto-drain pump and a 25mm flexible drain hose as standard, meaning it can pump wastewater out even if your plumbing outlet is elevated.

Q: What are the water quality constraints for the warranty to remain valid?
A: To prevent scale build-up and protect the heating elements, the supply water should have a pH value between 7 and 8, and a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) level between 1 and 135 ppm. If your local water is outside this range, we recommend installing a commercial water filter system.

Q: Can this machine be installed directly into a tight kitchen corner?
A: Yes, it is perfectly suited for corner installations. When installing in a corner, ensure the machine faces left so operators can safely access the control panels, and allow a 300mm clearance at the front for service access.
