Washtech GE Under Counter Glasswasher 365mm Rack

The Washtech GE Under Counter Glasswasher is the ultimate compact cleaning powerhouse designed to keep pace with Australia’s busiest hospitality venues. Engineered specifically to handle intense peak-demand periods, this heavy-duty under bench glass washer delivers a rapid 60-second wash cycle, effortlessly cleaning up to 540 glasses per hour. Manufactured by industry leader Washtech and distributed nationwide by Moffat, the GE model combines a space-saving footprint with commercial-grade durability. Whether you are running a bustling boutique cocktail bar, a fast-paced suburban café, or a high-turnover restaurant, this plug-and-play machine ensures an uninterrupted supply of crystal-clear, hygienically clean glassware.

Commercial Hospitality Use Cases

  • Busy Bars and Nightclubs: Rapidly cycle through pint glasses, wine glasses, and cocktail tumblers during high-volume weekend trade without risking a stock shortage behind the counter.
  • Boutique Cafés: Seamlessly fits beneath standard benches to clean delicate latte glasses, espresso cups, and water tumblers right where staff need them.
  • Restaurants and Bistros: Delivers rapid turnaround times on glassware between courses, helping floor staff keep tables resetting efficiently.
  • Hotel and Function Lounges: Manages unpredictable crowds at events by processing large batches of stemware with consistent, professional results.

Strategic Benefits and Operational Advantages

Maximised Footprint and Workflow Efficiency

With a compact width of just 440mm, the Washtech GE is designed to slip seamlessly under tight bar areas and low-clearance counters. This space-saving design minimises the physical movement of your staff, keeping clean glassware positioned exactly at the point of service.

Drastic Reductions in Operating Costs

The smart water-management system uses a low 4.5 litres of hot water per cycle. By optimizing water and chemical consumption without stripping away rinsing pressure, venue owners notice immediate reductions in utility bills and chemical expenditure.

Uncompromising Wash Consistency

Equipped with proprietary Washtech Hybrid Controls, the unit blends robust mechanical IP65 stainless steel switches with a precise electronic timer. Combined with a lower wash/rinse arm featuring precision-moulded jets and an upper rinse jet, the machine eliminates blind spots to remove stubborn lipstick and residue in a single pass.

Key Features

  • Ultra-Fast 60-Second Wash Cycles: Keeps your beverage service moving smoothly during peak hours.
  • High-Output Performance: Washes up to 540 premium glasses or cups per hour.
  • Washtech Hybrid Controls: Simple, robust user interface designed for wet commercial environments.
  • Moulded Precision Rinse Jets: Upper and lower configurations ensure total coverage and spotless results.

Cleaning & Maintenance Guidelines

To maximize the lifespan of your machine and guarantee spotless results, follow these strict manufacturer operational parameters:

  1. Daily Wash Tank Draining: Always drain the wash tank at the end of every service shift to prevent debris and mineral buildup.
  2. Filter Maintenance: Remove and rinse the internal scrap tray and wash arm filters daily under running warm water.
  3. Jet Unblocking: Check the precision-moulded wash and rinse jets regularly for mineral scale or debris; clear manually if necessary.
  4. Isolating Switch Access: Ensure your external isolating power switch remains completely visible within 1 metre of the unit and is not hidden directly behind the machine.

Warranty, Standards and Compliance

  • Water Mark Certification: Fully certified with integrated backflow prevention meeting strict Australian plumbing regulations.
  • Moffat 5-2-2 Warranty Protection: Backed by Moffat’s gold-standard comprehensive peace-of-mind assurance program:
    • 5 Years: Structural cabinet parts protection
    • 2 Years: Heavy-duty wash pump replacement
    • 2 Years: Complete regional parts and local expert technician labour

Why the Washtech GE is Essential for Bars, Hotels and Clubs

Investing in the Washtech GE means choosing an unyielding appliance engineered directly for demanding hospitality regulations. Its electromechanical switchgear avoids fragile digital touchscreens that break down under greasy, wet fingers, giving operators an incredibly reliable workflow. Backed by Moffat’s expansive regional service network, you gain rapid access to local spare parts inventory, ensuring your wash station never stalls when your business gets busy.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: Does the Washtech GE require a specialized commercial power connection?
A: Yes. The Washtech GE operates on a single-phase 230-240V supply but requires a 15-Amp power outlet to accommodate its high-speed 3.15 kW heating elements. It cannot be plugged into a standard domestic 10-Amp residential PowerPoint. A quick connection kit featuring a pre-fitted 15A plug set is supplied with the machine for rapid installation.

Q: What is the difference between a gravity drain and a pump drain on a glasswasher?
A: The standard Washtech GE features a gravity drain system, which requires the machine’s waste outlet to sit physically higher than your venue’s ground-level plumbing waste pipe. If your floor waste line sits high or you need to pump water upward into an under-sink drainage pipe, you will need to investigate a pump-drain variant like the Washtech XG.

Q: Can I use the Washtech GE glasswasher to wash commercial dinner plates?
A: While the machine features a heavy-duty commercial wash pump, it is physically configured for 365mm glass racks and features a compact 290mm internal door clearance height. It is perfect for saucers, cups, bowls, and glassware. For washing standard full-sized commercial dinner plates, we recommend choosing a dedicated under bench dishwasher like the Washtech XU which accepts larger 500x500mm international hospitality racks.

Q: What is the optional “End of Cycle Cold Rinse” and how does it work?
A: The selectable cold rinse is an optional setting that introduces a brief flash of cold water immediately after the hot sanitising rinse phase. This brings down the core temperature of your glassware instantly, allowing your bartenders to pull glasses straight out of the machine and serve ice-cold beers or cocktails without thermal shock shattering the glass or warming up the beverage.

Q: How does the Washtech 5-2-2 warranty work for regional Australian venues?
A: Moffat provides an incredibly comprehensive warranty layout consisting of 5 years on the stainless-steel cabinet structural integrity, 2 years on the electric wash pump parts, and 2 full years on general parts and commercial field labour. Because Moffat and Snowmaster boast one of the largest certified technician networks across Australia, you are fully covered for on-site emergency repairs whether you operate in metro Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or regional transport hubs.
